Imagine visiting Granada and knowing someone who knows the way around all the little streets of the Albaicin & where to find that intimate Flamenco concert. Someone fun and outgoing, It might be guitarist or a writer, someone with an unique perspective on the city. Someone who has travelled, who discovered the joy of living here, an insider to bohemian nights that could take you on a new and unknown trail? Well now you do. June offers personal travel assistance and companonship in many ways. We are musicians, writers, actors, cooks & travellers living in Granada, anxious to share the spirit of the city with you. HOMEMADE FOOD for all you explorers that enjoy crossing cultures: food, wine & encounters Forget dinning alone in a restaurant & start living the Andalusian spirit. Having food with friends or family is one of the most important social moments in the south of Spain. The Spanish call it their Zen. Granadinos now invite you to their home for dinner. We've selected a group of local people with lovely homes that would gladly invite you to enjoy a local & fresh prepared meal with them. You'll be sharing the table with other travellers. Max of 10 people. We'll pick you up at your hotel or meet at plaza Nueva, the heart of the city and take you to your local host in the centre, in the albaycin, or at sacromonte. TANGOS OF GRANADA
TANGOS OF GRANADA gypsy history, palmas, guitar & dance in Sacromonte Declared world heritage by Unesco, Flamenco is closely connected to Granada with Sacromonte being one of its most important reference. It's not always easy for an outsider to find a good quality live music which is often held behind closed doors in flamenco peñas or local bars. June is closely connected to Sacromonte and the local flamenco scene and offers you an encounter with a professional flamenco musicians & dancers from Sacromonte, who hail from local Gypsy families that produced generations of artists. We offer personal or group workshops in the afternoon or at night as an introduction to . If taken at night, one can also be guided to live music sessions. It will get you as close possible to the language that Flamenco is in Granada. We also offer private percussion & guitar workshops for musicians at either beginner, intermediate or advanced level. It's possible to take these classes over a longer period of time. LET'S TAKE A WALK famous city of poets: words, sweets & a slow walk in the Albaicin Taking a walk through the Albacin or Sacromonte is stroll through Arab and Gypsy history caves, of flamenco, of churches. Lemon and orange trees, the smell of Jasmin in hidden gardens, the little callejones, unexpected twists and romantic squares with fountains everywhere, an amazing view of the city from the hill. How can you not fall in love ? We'll stop for a drink at a local bar, try a fresh leche merengada at the famous pastery Casa Pasteles in plaza Larga or finish with a fresh mint tea in the garden of an authentic Carmen. We'll talk about the famous poets that used to meet secretly at little placetas, or we'll listen to the music all around us Rates: aprox 2 hours ( 2 persons) 35 euros Extra person: 15 euro Conditions
Conditions: -our rates are based on the time your local guide spends with you. - entrance tickets for venues for the guide as well as for you, will need to be paid by you.
